Credit Notes

The reason on a credit note should be set to the reason the customer has returned the goods. The reason controls which of the Book In, Write off, Add to Returns can be used.

• Book In puts the items back into stock.
• Write off The items are not put back into stock. For example, when the items are to be thrown away.
• Add to Returns The items are to be returned to a supplier. These are items are not added to stock, they are added to a lists that can be found by selecting `Stock, Returns, Create returns` from the main menu. For example, Items that are part of a product recall or return under a warranty.
